Who We Are
The Geological Society of Kenya (GSK) is a non-profit making, non-political organization established in 1974 as an umbrella organization representing the professional interests of all geologists in Kenya. GSK has been instrumental in championing the rights, welfare and needs of its members and the geology fraternity at large. Among the achievements of the Society are the establishment of a Scheme of Service for Geologists in 1989, the enactment of the Geologists Registration Act No. 10 of 1993 and the establishment of the Kenya Chamber of Mines. More recently (in 2012) the Society initiated Mineral Clinics as a means of reaching out to the general public with extension services in the areas of rock and mineral identification and imparting of skills in mineral prospecting, mining and mineral processing.Read More Members Database

MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN
Let me welcome you to Geological Society of Kenya, GSK has in the past been instrumental in championing for the rights, welfare and needs of its members and the geological fraternity at large. We are in our new office in Shelter Afrique House,4th Floor Mamlaka Road.
I strongly believe in enhancing the professional status of geoscientists and the Geological Society is the right place to drive this initiative. As geoscientists, we need to encourage young people to feel the passion for geology and its related subjects. We need to enhance natural science education and programs such because these young people will be our future geoscientists.Read More
